This year is the second Trumbauer Awards, held every 2 years, to recognize the work of current practitioners in the Classical tradition. The event is held in November, but there is a call for nominations now. If you know of any project that would be appropriate for this distinguished award, please go to https://www.classicist.org/honors/trumbauer-awards/ for more information about how to submit a nomination. The intent to submit deadline is July 6, and the final submission deadline is July 20.
If you are just interested in attending the event, it will be held at the Lincoln Ballroom at the Union League in Philadelphia (one of Trumbauer's works) on Thursday, November 15th. We will be celebrating Horace Trumbauer's 150th birthday! Trumbauer was a very important and influential Philadelphia architect, known for such works as the Philadelphia Art Museum and Union League, and Delco's Ardrossan Estate in Radnor and Woodburne Manor in Darby amongst many others.
Early Bird tickets are available until the end of July. For more information go to https://icaa-phila.ticketleap.com/trumbauerawards-earlybird/ Spaces are limited, so get yours today!
